Torfaen business Electroservices (Instruments) Ltd has just been awarded the highest level (Level 5) of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard. Over 800 organisations across Wales are accredited to the Green Dragon Standard of these and only 14 of these are accredited to the highest level Cwmbrans Electro-Services are the latest to achieve Level 5.

Based on Llantarnam Park Industrial Park in Cwmbran, the company calibrate and repair electronic and electrical instruments. Customers large and small come from all market sectors including manufacturing and healthcare both locally and nationally.

Roger Bradley, Managing Director of the company said;

"I am delighted with this award, an achievement which demonstrates the whole companys commitment to improving the environment."

Over the last year the company have been monitoring its energy usage, the amount of waste generated and its transport miles and have successfully implemented a range steps to minimise these environmental impacts.

One of the keys to Electroservices success has been the commitment and enthusiasm of the staff. Alan Horner, an engineer at Electro-Services said

"I am proud to champion our recycling effort. Recycling is a primary concern within the company. We endeavour to recycle and reuse as much waste as possible."
